My ideal job!

Hi, in this opportunity I am going to speak about my ideal job, the truth is that I would like to work at the south of our country, but before this I would like to realize a specialization in community health and neonatalogy.

I hope to work at a place with agreeable, sincere and professional people, where we all could help to the people. I want to work at some place of the south of Chile; this place could be Valdivia, Temuco or Chiloé for example, but also I would like to go to Sudafrica and to help the people of this country , because in these places there are many people who really need medical attention.

I would like to attend to the poorest people of the south of our country, specially to pregnant women, but also I would like to do classes of prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and teen pregnancy to the community, including adult, children, old people and teenagers. This idea emerged when I saw a program called “Doctors without frontiers”, in this program a group of health’s specialist were crossing all the south of Chile attending to the community, and there were persons who were travelling kilometres in horse to come where the campaign’s hospital.

The truth is that I wouldn’t have problem in to work   all days if this is necessary because the only thing that I want is to help the people and to collaborate to improve the health’s system in Chile.

Hi! In this opportunity I am going to speak about my favourite book, it is called “Gracia y el forastero”; It is one of the more important books in my country because It show a very important period in the development of Chile, “the dictatorship”.


The narration is about a young called Raphael, The mother of him had died when he was a child. He was son of a poor postman and Raphael lived with him in the smaller village’s house.

Raphael worked whit his father and one day he went to leave a letter to the house of an important general of the army, when he arrived to the house a beautiful young woman went out to receive the letter, she called Gracia and she was the general’s army daughter, they spoke for a moment and then Raphael returned to his house. After of this meeting Raphael could not forget to Gracia, and one day he decided go to the Gracia´s house for tell her that he was very in love of her.

Then they began a beautiful secret relationship because the Gracia´s father was very strict, and he wanted Gracia´s husband to go a general’s army and rich like him. He never left them to be united, for this reason Raphael and Gracia thought that the best solution was to have a son, finally when Gracia tell to her father that she was a pregnant woman he pushes to her for the stairs and she dies. Raphael was left very sad and alone, and he decides to go away to a seminar to be a priest.

Hi! In this opportunity I am going to speak about education and prevention related with the medicine’s area.   The truth is that in my country the education related with topics like sexual education and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases is very bad because every day we can see in the streets pregnant teenagers and in our country the level of people with VIH is very high because often the women don’t have opportunity of work and the only solution that they find is the prostitution.  

For this reason that I would like to realize a program dedicated principally to the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases in women and also a program related to the teen pregnancy.

I would like to teach to the women of an entertaining and dynamic form because I know  that often the persons don’t go to the programs of sexual education that are realized by the government because they think that these are very boring. Furthermore often the people don’t go to the programs because these are realized in inappropriate schedules, is for this that I would like to realize the educational program in a nice place and in the right schedule. Furthermore I believe that this program would be very interesting if the women go with their boyfriend or husband because I could see how is the relation between them.

Today in my country there are lots of programs realized by the department of health but these programs are very bad because the persons who teach are not specialists in the topics.

Hi! In this time I am going to speak about the gender role in health care. I can say that in an opportunity, when we were in the first year of university the teacher responsible of the nursing subject told us that all profession related whit the medicine’s area the men had a salary higher than the women, I think that this situation is very unfair because we know that the woman realizes the same work that the man, and often the work of the woman is not rewarded for the Employers. Furthermore always the women’s work is supervised for men and in the job many times the biggest responsibilities are for the men, for example when a doctor (woman) wants to be

a hospital’s director has to work hard a lot of time, on the contrary today we can see that when some accident happens and  these appear in the  news of  television always the hospital’s directors appear giving all the information of the accident, and the majority of the times they are  men.

In our career often the men choose the area of the gynaecology and prenatal control, but women choose the neonatology’s area, we know that our society is very male chauvinist and perhaps this difference is a consequence of this because the women always have been seen like the persons in charge of the baby’s care and housework but the men always have been seen like the persons in charge of the family’s security.  

Finally I can say that often the men have the major quantity of scholarships to study abroad because all people think that they have more skill than the women.
